What can we recycle…and HOW?

Recycling today is confusing & complex. The ubiquitous “chasing arrows” logo seems to be on everything these days. And just because it says “please recycle” (uh, thanks for being polite?) doesn’t mean it’s actually recyclable.

The net is we need urgent, systemic change on labeling policies & brands need to take responsibility for sustainable packaging design. Until then, assume that most plastics (except #1 and some #2) are NOT recyclable because there isn’t a profitable market for them, regardless of those arrows on the bag or container.
